For the golf enthusiast, the hotel is a great base from which to experience some of the best courses in north-west Ireland. Guests are entitled to preferential green fees at the Castlebar, Balinrobe and West Port golf courses. The facilities also include a 30,000-square-foot (3,000 m²) multipurpose indoor sports arena, the Centre for Sports & Training Excellence. The centre was inspired and designed by Irish rugby legend Keith Wood. Here, the facilities include 2 training pitches including an Astroturf pitch and a specialised Olympic gym, as well as a games room. The centre is intended for amateur and professional sports people, as well as business executives and team building initiatives. After a sports-filled day, you can unwind in the nearby Escape Spa and the Kingfisher Aqua and Fitness Club.
