Located in Bologna’s medieval area, this historical hotel has been realized following the restoration of the nunnery’s little church, built in the 15th century and enlarged throughout the 17th century. Historical records of the hotel, whose name means ‘The Silk Flowers Nunnery’, report that the nuns grew silk-worms to spin silk and create flower decorations in the nunnery gardens.

Located in Bologna’s downtown area, Il Convento Dei Fiori di (The Silk Flowers Nunnery) is a restored little church of the nunnery, built in the 15th century and enlarged throughout the 17th century. Historical records report that in the nunnery gardens the nuns grew silk-worms to spin silk and create flower decorations. The lobby is located at the church entrance, with original marble and orna-mentation. The wine-bar is situated in the sacristy and extends through two small lounges, one of which overlooks the church main fresco, featuring the Crucifix. The four guest rooms on the ground floor, featuring the nunnery’s original stone and brick walls built in the 15th century, are located in the apse. The six guest rooms on the first floor, all different from one another, are characterized by a romantic and modern style, with minimal-chic furnishing.
