The Ibis Hotel is situated approximately 200 meters from the central station and the city centre/pedestrian district. The distance to the Fair/ Essen is approximately 5 kilometres. You can go there by car or travel with the underground train (U11) in approximately 15 minutes. There are cinemas, theatres and museums nearby. We offer our guests 24 hour service (reception/snacks/drinks). The Hotel Ibis Essen offers 144 modern air-conditioned rooms - one of these is suitable for handicapped people and there are 95 rooms for non-smokers.

The 2-star hotel is located 200 meters from the Essen central station. The city centre is also in the vicinity and can be reached on foot in about 3 minutes. You can walk to the Collosseum theatre in approximately 15 minutes. The UNESCO world cultural heritage site Zeche Zollverein can easily be reached with public transport or with your own car. The Essen/ Gruga fair is approximately 5 km away and is easily reached in 15 minutes. The hotel has its own in-house parking space. The 144 rooms are subdivided into non-smoking and smoking floors. Our hotel has its own hotel bar, where our guests can get drinks and snacks 24 hours a day. The reception is staffed around the clock. We are ISO certified, which means that you can expect quality from our hotel chain.

Between 27 November 2007 and 29 February 2008 we will be renovating the dining area, the lobby, the reception and the hotel bar. During this time we will not be able to offer the above services, including the breakfast buffet and hotel bar.

Ruoka & juoma

The in-house hotel bar offers warm snacks and drinks 24 hours per day. We also offer a vending machine with soft drinks and beer available to our guests in the lobby. Breakfast is served during weekdays from 06:30AM to 10:00AM and on weekends till 11:00AM. We serve an extensive breakfast refreshment bar with different kinds of sausages and cheeses, fruit, a beautiful assortment of fresh breads and bread rolls, jams, juice, 3 different types of hot drinks and more! We also serve a small and tasty breakfast for early birds and late-risers from 04:00AM to 06:30AM and from 10:00AM to noon. We charge EUR 4.50 per day / per child for breakfast.
